Privacy Policy

The Scottish Advisory Committee on Consultants' Clinical Leadership and Excellence Awards (SACCCLEA) is a non-departmental public body, which acts on behalf of Scottish Ministers in deciding which individual medical and dental consultants in the NHS in Scotland should receive excellence awards for outstanding professional work.

SACCCLEA is completely independent of ACCEA (formerly ACDA) which is responsible for the operation of the awards scheme in England and Wales.

This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website.

SACCCLEA fully respects your right to privacy and uses your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

SACCCLEA has an entry in the Information Commissioner's Register of Data Controllers, accessible from the Information Commissioner's website at http://www.ico.gov.uk/ which lists the types of personal information we process, our purposes for processing the information and the people and organisations with whom we share personal information.

SACCCLEA does not collect any personal data about you on this website, apart from information that you volunteer, either by emailing us or by completing the online registration and application forms.  We may at times email you asking for your feedback on the services we provide via an online survey, which you are under no obligation to take part in.

Use of personal information collected through website

The information gathered from this website will be used by SACCCLEA, the SACCCLEA Secretariat, Local SCCLEA Health Board Committees and the Scottish Government Health Directorates in the administration of the Awards Scheme. It will be necessary to check information provided by you or information provided about you by a third party. It will be necessary to disclose information about you to a third party, including employers, deaneries, colleges and individual consultant assessors in order to process applications. Information relating to award holders is published in SACCCLEA's annual report which is available on the SCCLEA website at http://www.scclea.scot.nhs.uk/ . The information includes, name, specialty, previous award level, current award level, date of award and NHS Employer.
